These sculptures do not represent answers, but rather questions in form. As states of growth. As fragile transitions between nature and figure, culture and body. They evoke mythical metamorphoses, like that of Daphne, and ancient traditions of imagery in which man becomes tree and nature is humanized. It is always a between, a not-yet and no-longer, that interests me. A state of suspension in which form is formed – and dissolves again.
